Four weeks left of grad school. It’s hard to believe that this is finally happening. Monday July 26, just four weeks from tomorrow, will be the last day of my last graduate school class.
On Saturday July 10th I will be sitting in a room at URI taking the exam that will determine whether or not I get my degree. It’s a four hour long comprehensive final exam that will indicate if I have learned what I was supposed to over the last three years. I’ve been trying not to stress too much about this exam even though it is the test that will determine my future, but with less than two weeks until July 10th, stress is going to be inevitable between now and then. My supervisor at work swapped my shift around that week so that I can have Friday the 9th off, which I plan to spend at my parents’ CT lake cottage (only about 90 minutes from URI) reviewing the things I have learned since September 2007. A month ago I called my mother to ask that no one come to the lake that weekend (especially not that Friday), and she fortunately complied with my demands!
It has just occurred to me that if all goes well, then in a few weeks I will have to change the name of my blog since I will no longer be a “librarian in training.”
